This Skinny Body Care Review comes from my 11+ years of experience in MLM, and also from my being a part of the Skinny Body Care program personally.
For a handful of months I was the #1 income earner in Skinny Body Care, and I have nothing negative to say about the company or product as a whole. At the time of this article the leadership is actually focusing on aquiring customers, and not just recruiting, and that’s a good thing.
Having said that, the Skinny Body Care business model does have the same major flaw that 99.9% of other network marketing programs have.
There are all kinds of reasons the Guru’s will give you as to why so many people fail in MLM, but really it comes down to the fact that in order to build any significant income, you’re going to have to build a big network of people who weren’t already buying the Skinny FIber product.
Why is this important to understand?
Well, when it comes to building an income, the bottom line is a lot of people buying and using the product. Problem is, after 60-90 days of being in the business, if someone isn’t earning enough to cover the cost of their product, they cancel.
Most MLM companies have over 50% drop out rate after just the first 3 months. This is massive attrition, and the reason is, people changed their buying habits to purchase the product, and unless they have a life changing experience, it’ll be the first thing cut from their budget when it comes time to cut something.
Now, like I mentioned above, the leadership is really focused on bringing in customers, and this is much better than just recruiting business builders, but Skinny Fiber is a weight loss product, and this in itself is a brutal space to compete in. Again, unless a crazy life changing experience occurs, most will be on to the next greatest weight loss product within a month or two…
Leaving you to have to build and rebuild your network every few months just to maintain the income you worked months maybe years to generate.
This was the driving force behind my decision to sell my position in Skinny Body Care. Since March 2003 I have earned a nice full time income in network marketing, even reaching that elusive 5-figure monthly mark on a couple occasions.
But like all MLM’s, I eventually hit that wall, and had to work just as hard if not harder to maintain the level of income I was wanting. In most cases the income eventually starts to drift backwards.
In other words, the dream of true ongoing residual income usually isn’t possible in a model where you have to ask others to buy something they weren’t already buying.
So before you sink months or years into any typical MLM program, make sure you are prepared to work the business long term, if you want income from Skinny Body Care a decade from now, be prepared to still be working full time to maintain that income.
The only real exception to this is if you’re lucky enough to find 3-4 people you enroll who are big time builders, allowing you to just sit back and enjoy the results of their efforts. But trust me, even if you’re lucky enough to find a few, chances are they won’t be around in 5-10 years. There’s just too many new MLM programs popping up daily to distract people.
Fortunatly, there is a better model, and it’s why I’ve shifted my efforts here, rather than anywhere else. I want long term stable income for myself and all those I recommend….
Finally a model that allows everyone to WIN, even those who just want to be “customers”. There’s nothing extra you need to buy, therefore you never have to talk anyone into buying anything they’re not already buying. No dreaded monthly auto ships or monthly minimums, ever…
