Is Juice Plus+ worth joining in 2026? My Juice Plus review comes down to two different questions: Is it a credible, established nutrition company, and is it the right business opportunity for someone starting today? The company has a long track record and a recognizable product concept. But building meaningful recurring income is a different challenge from selling a product people like. After more than two decades in network marketing, that’s the distinction I would want any prospective partner to understand.
First, a disclosure about my perspective: I have never joined Juice Plus+ or personally used its supplements. This is an independent evaluation of the company and its business model, informed by published information and my own experience building network marketing businesses. I’m not presenting this as a firsthand product review.
What Is Juice Plus+ and How Long Has It Been Around?
The business behind Juice Plus+ began in 1970, when Jay Martin founded National Safety Associates, a direct-selling company associated with safety and filtration products. The Juice Plus+ Fruit and Vegetable Blend capsules launched in 1993, marking the company’s move into nutrition. That gives the Juice Plus+ product line more than three decades of history.
That history matters to me. Companies come and go in direct selling, and surviving for decades suggests that Juice Plus+ has established a market, customers and operating systems capable of supporting a long-running business. Longevity is a positive signal, though it is not a guarantee of future stability or distributor income.
What Are the Main Juice Plus+ Products?
Juice Plus+ is best known for its fruit, vegetable and berry nutrition blends, sold in convenient capsule and chewable formats. The idea is straightforward: make it easier for people to add concentrated plant-derived ingredients to their routines, particularly if they don’t consistently eat a variety of produce.
It also offers other nutritional products, including shakes and additional wellness supplements. The flagship fruit-and-vegetable concept, however, is what established the brand.
Are Juice Plus+ Capsules the Same as Eating Fruits and Vegetables?
No. A supplement made from fruit and vegetable ingredients is not nutritionally identical to whole produce. Whole fruits and vegetables provide water, fiber, a broad range of nutrients and the experience of eating actual food. Juice Plus+ products should be evaluated as supplements, not substitutes for a balanced diet.
I also wouldn’t assume that a product’s longevity proves every health claim made about it. If you’re considering the supplements for a specific health goal, look at the actual ingredient label, relevant clinical evidence and advice from a qualified health professional.
My Take on Juice Plus+ Product Differentiation
One thing I think Juice Plus+ has done exceptionally well is build a recognizable identity around a simple product concept. When the capsules launched in 1993, a convenient fruit-and-vegetable supplement may have felt quite distinctive to customers who struggled to eat enough produce.
Finding a product you believe in is one thing. Finding enough people who want to buy it every month is another. And once you’ve talked to everyone you know, where do the next 10, 20 or 50 prospects come from?
That’s why I learned to generate my own leads instead of waiting for referrals. If you’d like to see how to start building a list of people actually interested in what you offer, click the banner below.
And if someone discovered the product years ago, liked the routine and came to trust the brand, I can absolutely see why they might continue ordering for a long time. That kind of customer loyalty is valuable in a recurring-purchase business.
My question is whether it would be as easy to establish that loyalty today.
Consumers now have a huge range of greens powders, fruit-and-vegetable blends, capsules, superfood products and other nutritional supplements to choose from. That doesn’t make Juice Plus+ inferior. It does mean a new partner may have to work harder to explain why a customer should choose this brand and continue paying for it instead of switching to a competing product.
That’s my opinion about the competitive environment, not a claim that Juice Plus+ is experiencing poor retention. I haven’t seen verified company-wide customer retention figures that would settle the question.
How Does the Juice Plus+ Compensation Plan Work?
Juice Plus+ uses a rank-based, unilevel-style team compensation structure rather than a conventional two-leg binary. Partners can earn from direct product sales, and additional team-related commissions become available as they meet the plan’s rank and qualification requirements.
Its published U.S. compensation materials describe sales profit, qualifying sales and commissions that vary by level, along with additional performance and leadership incentives. A 2025 U.S. plan document shows commission rates at certain ranks of 5%, 10% and 15%, plus specified bonuses. The company’s current partner help materials also describe 10% sales profit on direct orders. Exact eligibility, commissionable volume and bonus requirements depend on the current plan and the type of order.
In other words, don’t confuse a headline commission percentage with the percentage of the customer’s purchase price that will actually land in your bank account. You need to know what volume is commissionable, which orders qualify and what you must do to remain eligible.
Is a Unilevel Compensation Plan Good?
Generally speaking, I like unilevel compensation plans. I’ve worked with different network marketing structures over the years, and I think a well-designed unilevel plan can be one of the fairest approaches because it allows you to develop multiple personally sponsored lines instead of being limited to two legs.
But the word unilevel by itself doesn’t tell you whether a plan is generous. What matters is the actual percentage paid on eligible volume, how deeply commissions extend, what happens when leaders advance, and how difficult the qualifications are to maintain.
A plan can look terrific in a presentation and still require an enormous amount of recurring customer volume to produce meaningful income.
The Question I’d Ask Before Building Any Juice Plus+ Team
Here’s where I’d slow down if I were evaluating the Juice Plus+ business opportunity for myself: How much ongoing customer purchasing activity would it actually take to earn the monthly income I want?
Don’t start with the biggest income testimonial on the webinar. Start with the math. Work backward from a realistic income target, account for the commissionable volume and qualification rules, and then consider how many customers and active partners would need to keep ordering month after month.
I’ve seen people become fascinated with the size of a potential organization without stopping to calculate what that organization would have to produce. A thousand names on a team report don’t pay your bills. Actual commissionable sales do.
There’s a story I think every prospective network marketer should consider: one marketer described building a team of roughly 600 people that produced about $1,200 a month, then earning substantially more with a much smaller organization under a different business model. That’s an individual account, not a typical result or a promise. But the question it raises is powerful: What if team size is the wrong number to obsess over?
Can You Make Money With Juice Plus+?
Yes, it is possible to earn commissions by selling Juice Plus+ products and building a qualifying sales organization. The company has operated for decades, and there are well-known distributors associated with substantial historical earnings.
But possible and probable are two very different things. Exceptional earnings stories do not tell you what the typical new partner earns, what they spend, or how long it takes to build a profitable customer base.
For an informed decision, I’d look for the company’s latest income disclosure statement and pay close attention to the median earnings, the percentage of partners earning nothing or very little, and whether reported figures are before expenses. I’d also distinguish commissions from personal retail profit and from bonuses that might not recur.
What About Jeff Roberti and the Top Juice Plus+ Earners?
Jeff Roberti is one of the best-known names associated with Juice Plus+. Third-party network marketing rankings have published extremely high estimated earnings for him. Those figures are not the same as independently audited, current company compensation records, so I wouldn’t treat a ranking estimate as verified proof of what he earns today.
Still, the history of long-running leaders is interesting. If someone has continued to receive significant commissions for many years, that suggests there has been sustained business activity somewhere in the organization. It does not tell us whether that activity comes mainly from loyal customers, new recruitment, fresh customer acquisition or some combination.
And it certainly doesn’t mean a new partner starting today is likely to reproduce that result. The marketplace, timing, leadership skills and organization a person built decades ago may be very different from what a beginner faces now.
Is Juice Plus+ a Legitimate MLM or a Pyramid Scheme?
Juice Plus+ is a real company selling identifiable nutritional products through a multilevel marketing model. That fact alone doesn’t establish that every business practice or income claim is sound, nor does it mean an MLM is automatically an illegal pyramid scheme.
The meaningful questions are whether compensation is tied to genuine product sales, whether customers buy because they value the products, and whether the opportunity is represented honestly. Regulators examine how a program actually operates, not simply what the company calls its commissions.
Juice Plus+ has also faced scrutiny over marketing claims. Truth in Advertising has documented concerns involving atypical earnings and health-related claims. That’s a reason to evaluate specific claims carefully, not a reason to assume every product or partner is deceptive.
The Hardest Part of Building Residual Income Isn’t Always the Pay Plan
This is the part I think most opportunity presentations gloss over.
Network marketing offers the possibility of leverage. You can develop a customer base, help other people build theirs, and potentially earn commissions from qualifying sales generated by an organization rather than only from your own direct selling.
That’s a legitimate reason people are attracted to the model. I’ve spent more than two decades in this industry, and I understand the appeal of building something that doesn’t depend entirely on your personal sales every single month.
But here’s the other side: you cannot control other people’s effort.
You can train them, encourage them, show them what works and give them tools. You cannot make them follow up with a prospect, talk to customers, learn a new skill or show up consistently. Some people start enthusiastically and disappear. Some order products for a while and cancel. Some tell you they’re going to build a serious business and never really get started.
Anyone who’s built a team knows that trying to get everybody moving in the same direction can feel like herding cats.
And the larger your income goal, the more this human side matters. A compensation plan may look beautiful on paper because every position is filled and every line grows. Real people don’t behave like boxes on a chart.
Customer Retention and Partner Attrition Change the Math
Imagine you’ve finally built enough volume to earn a meaningful monthly commission. What happens if several customers cancel? What happens if a key partner stops building? What if one active leader decides to pursue another opportunity?
Those aren’t theoretical questions. They’re normal business risks. Even a good product and a reasonable compensation plan don’t eliminate them.
That’s why I care so much about product differentiation, genuine retail demand and a compensation structure that doesn’t require a massive organization just to cover basic expenses. I want customers who stay because the product earns its place in their lives, not merely because they’re chasing a business rank.
And I want to understand the economics before I commit years of effort.
Here’s the uncomfortable question: If the people you’re counting on stopped building tomorrow, how much of your income would remain? It’s not a reason to dismiss network marketing. It’s a reason to distinguish income that depends on constant recruiting from income supported by durable customer demand.
You can give your team every bit of encouragement in the world, but you can’t make anyone pick up the phone or follow through. That’s the part of network marketing nobody can do for you.
What you can control is whether you’re meeting new prospects yourself. If you’re tired of waiting for other people to build your income, click the banner below to see how a consistent lead generation strategy can help you grow your own list of potential customers and reps.
Is Juice Plus+ Harder to Build Today Than It Was Years Ago?
I can’t measure that precisely without company-level data. But I think there’s a reasonable case that the competitive landscape has changed.
When Juice Plus+ introduced its core product line in the early 1990s, it offered a memorable idea that people could explain quickly. Today, the broader supplement market is crowded with alternatives making similar convenience and plant-nutrition appeals.
A newer partner might therefore need stronger positioning, more customer education and better marketing to stand out. At the same time, Juice Plus+ benefits from years of brand recognition and existing customer relationships. Both can be true.
And I wouldn’t underestimate the advantage of an established product habit. Someone who has ordered a supplement for ten or twenty years and genuinely likes it may have little interest in switching. That is a very different customer from someone seeing a dozen similar products advertised online for the first time.
What I’d Want to Know Before Joining Juice Plus+
If I were seriously considering building this company, I wouldn’t make the decision based on a charismatic leader or an impressive compensation chart. I’d want clear answers to a few practical questions:
- What makes the flagship products worth buying repeatedly at their current prices?
- What percentage of sales comes from customers who are not trying to earn commissions?
- What is the typical customer reorder rate, and is reliable retention data available?
- What ongoing sales or volume qualifications must I meet to earn each type of commission?
- How much actual customer spending is needed to support my desired monthly income?
- What do typical partners earn after business expenses?
- What marketing training and practical support will I receive from the team I join?
I would also ask whether I could see myself talking about these products for years. A long-term business is difficult to build if you don’t genuinely believe customers receive value.
My Final Juice Plus+ Review: Is It Worth It?
My overall assessment is more positive about the company’s longevity and brand-building than it is about the ease of building a substantial new organization.
Juice Plus+ deserves credit for creating a recognizable product concept and sustaining it for more than three decades. I also appreciate the general structure of a unilevel-style compensation plan when it pays fairly on genuine customer sales.
But I wouldn’t assume that a long company history or an extraordinary top-earner story translates into an easy opportunity for a new partner. Today’s supplement competition, the economics of commissionable volume, customer retention and the unpredictability of human behavior all deserve serious attention.
My conclusion: Juice Plus+ is an established MLM worth researching, but whether it’s the right business for you depends much more on the products, actual numbers and customer demand than on the excitement of the opportunity presentation.
One lesson I learned over many years in network marketing is that you can work incredibly hard building an organization and still discover that the income doesn’t match the effort. That’s why I think the smartest time to question the economics is before you invest years of your life, not after.
It’s easy to spend months comparing products and pay plans. But even the best company won’t produce much income if you aren’t consistently finding people to share it with. That’s where so many new distributors get stuck.
